A new perspective

Hello Reader

My kids sometimes say to me, mummy you have so many "jobs." It is not that they think I do too much, but it is the fact that they know that I wear multiple hats. If anything, it shows them that I do not have to follow the "norm" with one title and that I can do multiple things all at once. At the end of the day, I follow my passion and purpose in life.

Many people cannot even keep up with "what I am up to these days." Therefore, I have spent a lot of time recently thinking about how I can best share what I do with you.

Between my clinical work with nutrition clients and my new roles as a PhD student and Nutrition Lecturer, I have realised that I am, as always, in a very unique position. On one hand, I now reside within the world of academic research; on the other, I am helping people with managing their health conditions such as diabetes, ulcerative colitis or PCOS.

One of the reasons I took a brief break from sending newsletters was that I wanted to bring my different worlds together. I want to bring the insights from academia and clinic directly to you, but in a way that is simple, actionable, and rooted in the Ayurvedic wisdom that we all value.

To reflect this shift, I would like to introduce to you this new newsletter - Health Perspective with Varsha.

My goal is to give you exactly what the title states. A perspective that you will not find anywhere else. One that balances Nutrition and Ayurveda for balanced health. I want to help you reclaim your wellbeing without the overwhelm.

Also, research shows that I will be one of the pioneers in bridging the scientific gap between Nutrition and Ayurveda and you get to be a part of that journey.

Now, I have even more to share!

For those who want to go deeper than this weekly newsletter, I have officially opened the doors to Varsha’s Health Journal.

This is my paid membership space where I share specific, evidence-based information or protocols and the "how-to" behind the science. We actually kicked things off this past Monday with the first newsletter for existing subscribers: "Relighting the fire without the sugar crash." (Holistically Healthy Members are automatically a part of this membership, so need to re-subscribe!).

We are just getting started with a dedicated series on Metabolic Health for Women. If you are tired of the guesswork and want a structured, expert-led path to balancing your energy and hormones, I’d love to have you join us.

Varsha's Health Journal

As I continue with clinical work and research, I want to make sure I am addressing the hurdles that you are actually facing.

What is the #1 health struggle you are navigating right now?

Whether it is fatigue, managing PCOS symptoms, or just trying to find a "simplified" approach to your nutrition, just hit reply button and let me know. I read every response, and your feedback directly shapes the perspectives I share here and the protocols I build in the Journal.

I am looking forward to this next chapter with you. It is great to have you on board.

Health & Happiness,

Varsha

P.S. With Varsha's Health Journal, there are no repeats - so once the newsletter has been sent, it will not be sent again. Sign up today before you miss another edition.

Hello Reader If you have ever noticed that your digestion goes completely out of sync when you are stressed, or that a stressful month leads to a painful, highly emotional period, then this newsletter is definitely for you. The Nervous System of Your Cycle We often think that ovaries are independent organs that simply follow a monthly clock. In reality, your ovaries take their signals from your hypothalamus which is the command centre of your brain. The hypothalamus is constantly scanning...

Hello Reader Detox is a word that often gets thrown around on social media and although it is an "actual" thing, it is not as straightforward as it seems. Your liver is in charge of detoxifying your body, but the reason that it is not a simple process is because detoxification is a three phased process. Phase I and II happen in the liver, where hormones are neutralised and packaged into a water-soluble form. Phase III is the actual physical transport of that package out of your body via the...

Hello Reader Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting the the lead nutritionist at Brentford Football Club. He was a guest speaker for one of the classes within the Master's course in which I am a lecturer. Anyhow, he stated that they do not "count calories" or "weigh food" when it comes to the nutrition for the footballers. He basically follows a very similar approach that I do - educate, work within behaviour change, and personalises the nutrition plans without all the need to count and...
