Hello Reader How are you? If you are here in the UK, I hope you are enjoying the heat! The Californian in me absolutely loves the sunshine, but even for me, there are times when it feels too hot to read or write. Today, I am writing to you from a lovely coffee shop on my local high street. It is nice and refreshing in here, and thankfully, the AC (or "air con" as the Brits call it!) isn't on full blast, which is just perfect. As I sit here with my laptop, I wanted to share an update about my PhD journey. Recently, I presented the preliminary results of my PhD research for the very first time. As you know, my doctoral work focuses on Ayurvedic nutrition and lifestyle for the management of PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome). For the first part of my study, my focus has been to review and analyse all of the global scientific literature ever published on the effectiveness of Ayurvedic nutrition for PCOS. My initial database searches identified over 2,000 results. But by the time I applied the rigorous screening criteria, only 15 relevant studies were left standing. And even out of those 15, several papers are proving to be unsuitable. Why is the number so incredibly small? Because the vast majority of existing clinical trials combine diet with intensive Panchakarma (detoxification) treatments. But I purposefully chose to exclude Panchakarma from my research. As with all modalities of healing, Panchakarma has its place. But it requires checking into a specialised clinic, significant financial investment, and intensive monitoring. It simply is not accessible or practical women. I have always believed that the daily food we put on our plates and the small lifestyle rituals we practice are what make the biggest difference to our health and wellbeing. After all, I wrote an entire book about how our everyday choices matter! If a protocol is not accessible, it cannot be an effective tool for long-term self-management. Remember that one of my other values is that health should be simple! The Cherry Picking As I dive into the final data analysis of these remaining studies, I am uncovering a massive hole in how modern science views holistic medicine. Right now, there is a profound misunderstanding about how to apply Ayurveda correctly. In the West, parts of this ancient wisdom have been "cherry-picked" to suit a fad lifestyle. We are told that Ayurveda is about taking an Ashwagandha capsule, drinking a turmeric latte, or eating a bowl of dahl. But Ayurveda is not a collection of isolated superfoods. It is a wholistic approach of eating and living. When researchers try to test a single herb in a lab without changing a person's underlying metabolic habits, the science can be misleading. You cannot patch over a high-stress lifestyle with a trendy supplement. To Heal the Whole, You Must Understand the Layers My research is dedicated to proving that true, sustainable hormonal health requires a systemic approach. In Ayurveda, your nutrition does not just impact your stomach; it cascades through the 7 Dhatus, the seven sequential tissue layers of your body. When you drink a smoothie or eat a meal, that nourishment must first build your plasma (Rasa), enrich your blood (Rakta), and strengthen your muscles (Mamsa) before it can ever reach that final, deeply refined seventh layer: your reproductive vitality (Shukra). This sequential biological process is exactly why it takes time to balance your hormones, and why generic quick-fix products simply do not work. If there is a blockage or metabolic sludge (Ama) in the very first layer of your tissues, your hormones will feel the depletion weeks later. If you are ready to look past the cherry-picked wellness trends and want to understand how to deeply nourish every layer of your health, I invite you to step into my inner circle. You can now get immediate access to my complete, step-by-step 7 Dhatu Series. Inside this exclusive archive, I break down:
Let’s stop chasing the fads and start looking at the real, underlying science of how your body thrives.

Hello Reader Last week I talked to you about simplifying health. But what if things became too simple in that it becomes ineffective? I went to a food festival recently and aside from eating good food, I saw a variety of food vendors there. One of which I saw was selling a drink that gives you your daily fibre. I will not mention the brand, but I am sure you have seen them around either in the grocery stores or on your social media feeds. Now, my question to you is that are these drinks...
